Dr. Bates has practiced otolaryngology since finishing residency in 2006. His practice includes all medical and surgical disorders of the ear, nose and throat for children and adults with special interests in voice disorders, sinus and nasal disease, hearing loss, ear disease and head and neck tumors. He is excited to offer minimally invasive facial rejuvenation therapies including Obagi skin care and BOTOX and Restylane injections. Dr. Bates serves on the Critical Care Committee for the Moses Cone Health System.
Dr. Bates is married and has one son. His hobbies include playing the trumpet and guitar, golfing, bicycling, and playing soccer. However, most of his free time these days is spent chasing his son around the house. He is a member of Lawndale Baptist Church.
